The Design Process -- Final Stage

Although the artist had originally been asked to design a one color shirt, sometimes the addition of a highlight color can really make a design pop without a lot of extra expense. This comp was made with a cream color on an additional layer.

The client liked the two color version, and so the outline layer was saved as a 300 dpi greyscale TIFF, and the cream color layer was saved as a 42.5 lpi bitmap halftone (elliptical dot) greyscale TIFF for the screenprinter to output directly to film.

Blending hand drawn art and digital output allows for a range of satisfying and unique design solutions.
