"I'm a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. It's great to be able to work in traditional media and incorporate the digital tools now available to deliver a truly distinctive product.

Graphic design and illustration are very interrelated. In a sense graphic design is a form of illustration, using shape, text and other visual means to convey concepts in an integrated manner.

An illustrator creates images that take those ideas beyond the words.
It's perfect for those situations when you really need to engage your viewer's imagination.

I provide editorial illustration, logos, book illustration, artwork for print, packaging, advertising, web design and general graphic design services. As you can see from the online portfolio this approach leads to a variety of illustration styles and design looks. My job is to use my artistic and technical skills to make a good communication piece that works for you.

I work in gouache, linocut and wood block print, oils, acrylic and pen & ink on the drawing board, and digitally with Adobe Creative Suite 3 and Painter. I've had experience in screenprint as well as offset environments so I can create spot separations for a number of substrates. I will be happy to work with your printer and other vendors and make sure the files are prepared in the formats they need.
